The Atheneum is a skills and technology centre built around ten assessed certificates. Every course ends on work you can show a supervisor, a cooperative chair, or an employer, not a slide deck.
Depth before breadth.
We would rather teach a few things properly than many things thinly. So we follow one rule: open two or three courses with absolute quality before scaling.
Every course uses the Atheneum method: a short concept, a Nigerian workplace case, then a lab or studio that produces portfolio evidence you can file.
Four principles. No exceptions.
These shape how we design every course, train every facilitator and mark every capstone.
Narrow, then deep
Ten certificates, each built to a real outcome rather than a long list of topics.
Local first
Farm books, LGA sheets, ministry memos and market catalogues, not generic international packs.
Evidence over slides
No session ends on slides. Each one produces documents, workbooks, live pages or decision records.
Quality before scale
We open a few courses with absolute quality first, and facilitators are cleared before they face a cohort.
A capstone you cannot bluff.
Every course finishes with a capstone that must reach 50% to pass, graded Distinction, Merit, Pass or Refer. Some mistakes are an automatic Refer.
Fabricated facts
In AI courses, anything the model invented and you did not catch earns a Refer.
Numbers that cannot be traced
In Office Productivity, a slide figure that cannot be traced back to a cell is an auto-refer.

Our Makurdi centre is home to the labs and studios. Cohorts are also taught at Hommaston Consulting's training centres in Lagos and Port Harcourt, on the same curriculum and assessment standard.
